Necirvan Barzani, executive of the regional administration in north of Iraq, said on Friday that not only Kurds, but also Turkmens, Arabs and Assyrians were living in Kirkuk which was an Iraqi city, and they were ready to carry out the urban administration in Kirkuk altogether.

In an exclusive interview with the A.A correspondent, Barzani commented on Kirkuk problem and said the problem stemmed from economic and administrative sharing of the city.

Barzani said natural resources of Kirkuk belonged to all Iraqis and it was stated in Iraq's constitution, "the parties should not have concern over the matter," he added.

Barzani said they wanted Kirkuk to be managed in a fair way as a Kurdish region.

Turkey was an important neighbour for them and they wanted to establish positive relations with Turkey.

Barzani said oil production would be on the rise in Kurdish region very soon, and they were planning to ship the oil to world markets via Turkey.
