(VOA) -- Seven teenagers in Australia have been arrested in a sweeping anti-terrorism operation in the wake of last week's stabbing attack of a bishop in Sydney. New South Wales Deputy Commissioner David Hudson told reporters Wednesday that more than 400 federal, state and local authorities were involved in the operation.

Sydney (Reuters) -- Social media platform X said on Saturday it would challenge in court an order from an Australian regulator demanding the company remove some posts related to the stabbing of a bishop in Sydney. Police charged a boy, 16, with a terrorism offence on Thursday for the alleged stabbing of Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel at a church in the New South Wales capital on Monday.

Assyrian Bishop Stabbed While Live Streaming

Fairfield (AINA) -- Assyrian Bishop Mari Emmanuel of Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Sydney was stabbed while live-streaming his sermon. Video shows the yet attacker stabbing the bishop multiple times before he is subdued by parishioners. Screams are heard from the parishioners as the attack unfolds. Another video posted on X shows the Bishop on a stretcher being wheeled to an ambulance.

Iran is Hijacking Assyrian Politics in Iraq

(AINA) -- On February 21, the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq ruled on a set of cases pertaining to the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) electoral law. The Court declared that the 11 parliamentary reserved seats for minorities were unconstitutional. So too was the KRG's single electoral district model.
