(AINA) -- On May 20 AsiaNews reported that Fr. Hanna was kidnapped as he was leaving the house of an ill parishioner in the Baladiyat quarter of Baghdad (5-20-2007). Yesterday AINA reported that Iraq's Hura TV was reporting that Fr. Hanna had been freed. Today AsiaNews reported that the priest had not been set free (5-21-2007) and his ransom demand was extremely high.

AINA has learned from sources close to Patriarch Delly of the Chaldean Church of Babylon that Fr. Hanna was indeed freed today and is unharmed.
