An Assyrian newspaper distributer was murdered in North Iraq. Mr. Warda Slewo, whose territory ranged from Baghdad to the Assyrian plains in Nineveh, North Iraq, was murdered on January 18 as he was returning to Baghdad.

Mr. Warda was a member of the Assyrian Democratic Movement (ADM) and was the distributor of Assyrian Bahra Newspaper, the official newspaper of the ADM, which is printed in Baghdad. Mr. Warda was born in 1955 and leaves behind a wife and four children, two boys and two girls:, the oldest being 14 years.
