Creative Genealogy Writing: Researching Family Histories in the Middle East

Writers sometimes turn to creative genealogy writing if they enjoy writing about history and families, anthropology, or ethnic studies. Genealogy writing includes collecting details about people. Sometimes the research is done by interviewing people in video or audio formats. Or cameras in cell phones can also capture family history details about migrations or original recipes.

Genealogy writing, like other types of journalism is a form of investigative reporting and recording. In various ways, the process is moving toward smart card technology and its offspring. The new wave in genealogy is authentication technology. Authentication begins with new-wave technology used to gather population registers. The goal is to focus on creative genealogy writing based on personal experiences, interviews, family history, and research about the culture and the individual experiences.
